Camy Tang here, and at the time I’m writing this, I’m just back from an interview for a part-time library position.
Applying for the job was a no-brainer. I mean, what reader wouldn’t want to be surrounded by books for a few hours each day???

I work part-time at a public library and at a college library. We also have the on-line system and can get books transferred from branch to branch.
ReplyDeleteSome authors' books I will just buy (like yours), but for the rest I first see if the public library has it. If not, I try to get it through a network at the college library where I work. If that doesn't work, I try interlibrary loan where libraries across the US will loan books to my local library.
Best wishes on the library job!
Camy,
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you get to be around that many books ( I love the smell of them). In grade school as well as high school, I worked in the library.
Please enjoy it for me.
Fun article!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck- I hope you get the job!
My very first job EVER was at the library when I was 14. I wasn't very good because when I would go to put books away they would look so good that I would start reading them. It was a small town and the library was in an old house, so there were lots of rooms and I was usually off in one of the corners sneaking a few pages of a book!
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys!
ReplyDeleteTricia, I worked in the local library when I was in high school too! And I'd do the same thing!!! LOL
