Getting organized

Captain's Log, Stardate 12.15.2008

I was blogging at Girls, God, and the Good Life yesterday about something I think many of you can relate to:

Camy here, talking about Spring ... er, Winter cleaning.

Yes, my house is SO MESSY that I need to start in Winter to finish my Spring cleaning. Oy!

Click here to read the rest of the post.

Then comment to tell me if you have any ideas or if you want to commiserate with my woes. :)

  1. Hey Camy, my teen daughter commented on Sat that we seem to always do our spring cleaning in Dec, so I hear ya.

We don't have an attic or basement for storage, but we do have a 20x60 ft metal quonset that is jam packed! We celebrate 32 yrs of marriage this coming Sat and that means 32 years of collecting ju...uh...treasures.

I mean, we have a 30 yr old sans kids and our youngest is only in Gr 5. Why would be get rid of all the baby paraphenalia now? We might hava a grandbaby soon.

And yarn? I have boxes...and fabric...too cardboard. Yikes. But we're slowly repacking into plastic.

We used to be sports fanatics and still have eqpt for almost every sport you can imagine inluding a ping pong table...lumber...hinged bins of overgrown toys... records...exercise eqpt...bins of fixtures from my craft sales...ugh

I pride myself on my organization but you are stardates ahead of me in that regard.

For hubby's keychain collection, however, do you want to display it? You could always buy those jewellry display cases. My daughter buys them at 2nd hand stores and uses them to display her beaded jewelry designs.

Of course, there's always the pegboard with a painted scenic background...

  2. Wow, that's creative! I told Camy on the other blog that I need to get creative with all the paper clutter. Ugh.

  3. Those are great ideas, Anita Mae! Thanks!
