I worked on my first Kickstarter and it got approved! It’s for the Special Edition Hardcover of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 1: Archer and the release of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 7: Spinster. I contacted my graphic designer about the Special Edition Hardcover of vol. 1: Archer—it’s going to be SO beautiful! The Kickstarter focuses on the Special Edition Hardcover, but it’ll also include vol. 7: Spinster so that it’ll sort of be like a launch day for vol. 7, too. A third special thing that’ll be in the Kickstarter is Special Edition Paperbacks of all the books in the series. They won’t be available in stores, just in the Kickstarter (and later, from my website, and also in my Patreon book box tiers if I decide to do them). The Kickstarter is not live yet, but you can follow it to be alerted when it has launched. (You may need to create a free Kickstarter account.) Follow Camy’s Kickstarter

Here in northern California, I’m really blessed because there are lots of great restaurants. And since I’m all about food, it’s pretty close to paradise.
In no particular order:
1) Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! is an Italian restaurant with the best pizza on the planet. They do everything else well, too. This is one of the restaurants that my dad insists on eating at when he and my mom visit from Hawaii, because the linguini with clams in garlic cream sauce is THAT GOOD.
2) Krung Thai restaurant has the best duck in red curry out of all the Thai restaurants I’ve eaten at. They have a really extensive menu so that Captain Caffeine can order something without coconut milk for himself, and we have yet to try something that doesn’t taste great. I also love their sticky rice with fresh mango dessert.
3) Alexander’s Steak House is a little pricey but delish. It’s not overpriced, considering the quality and quantity. Their beef is aged and cooked exactly the way you say you want it. This is our “special dinner” place. My husband had his yakudoshi party here (yakudoshi is a Japanese milestone birthday that means you’re getting old, it’s all downhill from here, so let’s celebrate to chase away the evil spirits).
4) Yiassoo Greek restaurant is family-owned, although they have two locations. The better location is in Campbell, near our church, so we often head there for lunch after service. Their gyros are to die for with homemade sauce and just the right spices in the meat. Their falafels are darn tasty, too. This location also has one of the best fryers—their French fries and fried calamari taste SO good! We think it’s because they don’t clean their fryer very often, which is kind of gross, but we’re not complaining because the food is so tasty.
5) Union Chinese restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall place with the best Hong Kong style noodles I’ve ever had, plus they don’t use much MSG. (In fact, Union restaurant and those Hong Kong style noodles are in a scene in Sushi for One.) They also have homemade won tons and a wor won ton soup that’s both delicious and healthy. I often get their black bean sauce noodles, which are hand-pulled noodles smothered in a rich black bean sauce with onion, zucchini and seafood.
