Volume 6 in my Lady Wynwood’s Spies series just released and have started work on volume 7. Here’s the opening paragraphs:
Mr. Norton was glad to duck into his club, The Runny Knees, in order to escape the sudden spring downpour. He shook droplets of water from his beaver hat as he handed it to the doorman along with his gloves.
“Shall I take your scarf for you also, sir?” the man asked.
“Yes, of course.” Norton was reluctant to part with it. As he passed it to Mr. Perkins, he found that he could not resist touching the soft length of knitted wool. He had worn it despite the fact that London was becoming uncomfortably hot in the early part of June and gentlemen rarely wore such simple accessories that marred the elegant harmony of their fashionable ensembles.

You can bet I’ll be knitting Norton’s scarf! Unfortunately I’m still working on Michael’s scarf (from volumes 4 and 5) AND Keriah’s scarf (from volume 6), so it might be a while before I can post pictures.
I admit the name of Norton’s club is rather improbable, but the name just came to me as I was writing, and I didn’t have the heart to change it because I liked the way it sounded. It actually sounds like an octogenarian’s club, doesn’t it? Old men tottering around with sagging knee breeches.
I hope you’re enjoying Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 6: Martyr!
