I worked on my first Kickstarter and it got approved! It’s for the Special Edition Hardcover of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 1: Archer and the release of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 7: Spinster. I contacted my graphic designer about the Special Edition Hardcover of vol. 1: Archer—it’s going to be SO beautiful! The Kickstarter focuses on the Special Edition Hardcover, but it’ll also include vol. 7: Spinster so that it’ll sort of be like a launch day for vol. 7, too. A third special thing that’ll be in the Kickstarter is Special Edition Paperbacks of all the books in the series. They won’t be available in stores, just in the Kickstarter (and later, from my website, and also in my Patreon book box tiers if I decide to do them). The Kickstarter is not live yet, but you can follow it to be alerted when it has launched. (You may need to create a free Kickstarter account.) Follow Camy’s Kickstarter
Today’s tea, Bella Luna Blue by Adagio.com, is EXTRA special because this tea is only available to buy on days of a Blue Moon! That’s August 22nd!
From the website:
Experience the elusive mystery that is the phenomenon known as our Bella Luna Blue. Available only on days of a blue moon, our rare Bella Luna Blue blends the zesty freshness of lemongrass and the flavor of blueberries with the exotic Butterfly Pea Flower, which when brewed, turns this mystifying herbal tea indigo! For an even more exciting treat, add a few drops of lemon juice to the mix and watch as the real magic unfolds right before your eyes!
Herbal Tea | No caffeine | Steep at 212° for 5-10 minutes.
I brewed this tea as per the instructions, 1 teaspoon per 8 oz. water for 10 minutes at 212 degrees F.
When I tried it without the lemon, I was hooked—the blueberry flavor goes SO well with the lemongrass! I was really surprised by how tasty it was.
Then I added some lemon juice, and the tea flavor was really bright and delicious, plus it turned a pretty dark purple color. As a hot tea, you can’t quite see the purple color, but you can see it better as an iced tea (below).
I added a tiny bit of sugar, although I would have added honey instead if my IBS wasn’t acting up. I think honey would have been perfect in this.
I made iced tea with this also since it was kind of hot today. For my iced tea, I brewed 2 teaspoons of tea plus 1/4 of a lemon in 16 oz. water for 10 minutes at 212 degrees F, and I added about 2 teaspoons sugar, then poured everything over ice.
It was very refreshing and so easy to drink! I think I like this tea much better iced rather than hot.
I tend to like my iced tea weak, so I only brewed 2 teaspoons of tea, but I think for normal iced tea you’d double that since the tea will be poured over ice.
As I mentioned earlier, Bella Luna Blue is only available on the days of the Blue Moon, which is August 22nd, and on the Adagio website you can click a link to have them email you a reminder when the tea is ready. I’ve already done that and I’m ready to order more of this stuff! It’s so awesome!
If you’d like a $5 gift certificate, comment below and I’ll post a 1-day limited gift certificate code, however you won’t be able to use the code to buy this tea, since the code only lasts for 24 hours.
