I worked on my first Kickstarter and it got approved! It’s for the Special Edition Hardcover of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 1: Archer and the release of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 7: Spinster. I contacted my graphic designer about the Special Edition Hardcover of vol. 1: Archer—it’s going to be SO beautiful! The Kickstarter focuses on the Special Edition Hardcover, but it’ll also include vol. 7: Spinster so that it’ll sort of be like a launch day for vol. 7, too. A third special thing that’ll be in the Kickstarter is Special Edition Paperbacks of all the books in the series. They won’t be available in stores, just in the Kickstarter (and later, from my website, and also in my Patreon book box tiers if I decide to do them). The Kickstarter is not live yet, but you can follow it to be alerted when it has launched. (You may need to create a free Kickstarter account.) Follow Camy’s Kickstarter

Blog Book giveaway:
My Monday book giveaway (LOVE THE SINNER) is here.
My Thursday book giveaway (ALMOST HEAVEN) is here.
You can still enter both of them. Just post a comment on those blog posts.
On Monday, I'll draw the winner for LOVE THE SINNER and post the title for another book I'm giving away. Stay tuned.
The Daphne: The contest bug has bit. I blame my friends on the SAYSF loop (you know who you are, you stinkers) who are contest junkies in denial.
Another reason is because my agent encouraged me to enter because it will pad my writing resume to have any contest wins. I've only won one contest, the suspense category in the Noble Theme last year, so I decided to try a few more contests to see if I'm just a one-hit wonder or not.
I entered two manuscripts in the Daphne today. Since I'm judging the Inspirational category, I entered my suspense in Mainstream and my Christmas chick-lit in Category (series).
I admit I did tone down some of the Christianese in the entries themselves, but I don't hold much hope they'll do well. The suspense has too much "Christianity" and might get docked points for being in the wrong category (there's also the risk of landing a judge biased against Christ), while the Christmas chick-lit might get docked points for not enough mystery.
However, I'm thinking of entering the Barclay. Not sure which manuscript yet.
Bible in 90 Days: Day 59. I love Jonah's transparency, even though he's a bit of a whiner. Then again, I don't know how happy I'd be if asked to walk into the tension-filled streets of Chicago's inner city and preach that they're all going to be destroyed.
Writing: Still going through my Maass notes, but I should be finishing my high-level outline soon, and then working to fill out my detailed scene outline.
Diet: Exercise has been good, but eating portions have not. Grrrr. Need more self-control. And I need to eat more vegetables, too.
