Lady Wynwood’s Spies, Volume 7 annotated edition

When I write the Lady Wynwood’s Spies series, there’s always more happening behind the scenes than what makes it onto the page. And so I started creating annotated editions.

For readers who enjoy peeking behind the curtain, annotated editions offer a deeper look into how these stories are built—layer by layer—while still letting the novel stand on its own.

What Is an Annotated Edition?

An annotated edition is the complete novel, with optional author commentary added alongside the text. These notes are there if you want them—and easy to skip if you don’t.

In the annotated edition of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, Volume 7: Spinster, you’ll find:

  • Behind-the-scenes notes on character choices and motivations
  • Historical research details that didn’t fit naturally into the story
  • Easter eggs connecting volume 7 to earlier (and future) volumes
  • Occasional author commentary on scenes that mattered to me personally

Think of it as reading the book with me quietly sitting beside you, pointing out interesting details only when you’re curious.

Why Volume 7 Was a Natural Fit for Annotations

Many of the notes in volume 7 explore:

  • The historical reasons why certain scenes unfold the way they do
  • How past events in the series echo into this volume
  • Insight into a character’s spiritual or romantic growth

Why Annotated Editions Are Limited

Annotated editions are something I offer selectively and intentionally.

Because many of my books eventually enter Kindle Unlimited, annotated versions are usually available only for a limited time and only through Patreon and my direct store. Once a title is exclusive to Amazon, I’m no longer able to distribute those versions elsewhere.

When they are available, they’re meant as a special extra for readers who enjoy that deeper experience.

Is an Annotated Edition Right for You?

You might enjoy annotated editions if you like:

  • Author notes and research insights
  • Understanding why characters make the choices they do
  • Seeing the connections between volumes in this long-running series
  • Revisiting the events of a past volume with fresh perspective

If you prefer to stay fully immersed in the story without commentary, the regular editions are always the best place to start.

Where to Find Them

Whenever an annotated edition is available, I announce it on Patreon and in my email newsletter.
