I was on the Girls, God, and the Good Life blog yesterday with a link to a very interesting article and an unofficial poll:
Camy here! I came across this article in Publisher’s Weekly today about a study that showed 55% of YA Books are bought by adults. I thought that was interesting, although not really surprising.

I love YA. I taught middle school for several years, and still enjoy reading it.
ReplyDeleteDo they account for parents/adults buying for teens?
Good point, I didn't think of that. I wonder if they did, or if they only polled reading choices rather than buying choices?
DeleteThat would be an interesting study. I know the Twilight series, Hunger Games, and now Veronica Roth's series have all had wide appeal for adults as well as YA.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I only read Twilight and the Hunger Games because they were on the bestseller list, but I ended up liking them a lot. I haven't read the Divergent series yet.
