Whew! After being offline for two weeks, I finished a book, read the Twilight series, and visited my editors at Zondervan! And I have pics!
Isn't this nice of them? This was at the front door.
This is the lobby area.
This is my macro editor, Becky Philpott!
This is my senior editor, Sue Brower!
This is editorial assistant Bridgette Brooks. On the side, she teaches voice lessons and she gave me a cool pointer about supporting my breath. :)
I didn't catch her at her desk, but this is the desk area of my Marketing Director, Alicia Mey! I love her wall.

We thought about throwing a few paper airplanes in the space.

Some of you may know, Zondervan moved its distribution to a centralized location run by their parent company, Harper Collins. So we visited the ghostly warehouse.

That's fun! I like the photos. That welcome sign was nice. Good thing you recently quit that 2 pack a day habit, huh? :))))
ReplyDeleteI know, shucks. :)
DeleteWhat did you think of Twilight? And congrats on finishing your book! What a productive two weeks!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVED Twilight! It was SO romantic. God also used it in a powerful way to help me understand who my reader is and how to write to her needs to point her to Christ.
DeleteOoh! So that's what an editor's spot looks like. Cozy! And personalized. I like it! And the lobby area looks like such a warm, snuggly place. I'd like to read a book there. (While casually waiting for the appointment with my editors:P)
ReplyDeleteIt was a really pretty lobby! You can kind of see the fountain in the background.
DeleteI went to a client's office last fall in NYC and they had a welcome sign for me, too. It made me feel so special and appreciated! It's a small thing but a nice one. I am curious about what you thought about Twilight too and look forward to discussing it in person in Anaheim.
ReplyDeleteI really loved Twilight! Of course, it would be this week that I saw a bunch of people on Facebook bashing it. I honestly don't see what's so awful about it. It was completely compelling and fantastically romantic.
Deleteso that's what Zondervan looks like! um, you mean they're not always busy printing books?! just joke. of course our bookstore shelves are stocked with lots of their products, and i call them every month to make payments, so its wonderful to get a look-see into their work environment...which is your environment! :) keep writing, girl, and i'll keep reading what your write!
ReplyDeleteThanks Audree! It was totally fun to visit the "Mothership"!
DeleteHey Camy! I actually stopped by your FB page to check on you and see how you're doing. Then I was thrilled to link to this post and see all your wow Zondervan pictures! Aren't those folks great?! I miss them and you too! Blessings on your writing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Cheryl! Yes, they're awesome!!!!
