I just finished writing Year of the Dog ! It had a massive plot hole that I had to fix which turned out to be more work than I expected. Here’s a snippet: “Hey, Auntie Nell.” He wrapped his arms around her, bussing her on the cheek and breathing in pikake flowers and shortbread cookies. And suddenly he was nine years old again, and her solid presence had made his chaotic world stable once more. “What are you doing here?” He usually took her to dinner on Wednesday nights, but today was Tuesday. Geekwif graciously gave me a Thinking Blogger Award!
What is it? I dunno. But it sounds cool, doesn't it?
So the rules – according to the originator – go like this.
I only get five so nobody get jealous or neglected or high-schooly, okay???
Thinking blogs. I don't read many serious blogs, to be honest.
Heather Tipton, because she usually has something deeply spiritual on her blog, although I rarely comment on it since it's typically too deep or fuzzy-wuzzy for me.
Donna Fleisher, because she's just way cool and always has such grounded thoughts about life and God.
Light for the Writer's Soul, because Victoria's always got great quotes.
Sharon Hinck, because she also usually writes some cool devotional blog posts.
Mary DeMuth, because she has terrific insight into life and our spiritual responsibilities as writers.
You five now have the Thinking Blogger Awards. Go forth and blog thoughtfully.

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).
