I worked on my first Kickstarter and it got approved! It’s for the Special Edition Hardcover of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 1: Archer and the release of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 7: Spinster. I contacted my graphic designer about the Special Edition Hardcover of vol. 1: Archer—it’s going to be SO beautiful! The Kickstarter focuses on the Special Edition Hardcover, but it’ll also include vol. 7: Spinster so that it’ll sort of be like a launch day for vol. 7, too. A third special thing that’ll be in the Kickstarter is Special Edition Paperbacks of all the books in the series. They won’t be available in stores, just in the Kickstarter (and later, from my website, and also in my Patreon book box tiers if I decide to do them). The Kickstarter is not live yet, but you can follow it to be alerted when it has launched. (You may need to create a free Kickstarter account.) Follow Camy’s Kickstarter

ICRS, part 3 (continued from part 2):
It was a night for being stupid. Me, that is. Sue Brower invited me and a few others to sit and chat in the bar area after the Christy awards.
A woman sat down next to me. Her face looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn’t place it. Then I glanced at her name tag.
“Hi,” she said, extending her hand. “I’m Karen Kingsbury.”
What does your loud Asian chick do? Why, nothing less than shriek, “OH MY GOSH! I AM SO EXCITED TO MEET YOU!”
Karen was very gracious despite the fact I was probably embarrassing her. I had forgotten my camera (what a dork) but she took a picture with me and promised to send it to me. Isn’t she nice?
Another shriek and fawn moment--I met Angela Hunt while the poor woman was waiting for a cab and nearly knocked her over. She's gorgeous in person, by the way--tall and fabulous hair.
God had totally planned for me to room with Linda Wichman. Besides the fact that she’s a sweetheart, has 25 years’ writing experience, is a Christy finalist, and is a wonderfully encouraging person, our room was in the same hotel as Wendy. After the Christy’s, Wendy asked me to come to her room to discuss my contract.
I not only discussed my contract and my writing career, I had the privilege of meeting and hanging out with Lauraine Snelling and Robin Jones Gunn, since they were rooming with Wendy and Janet Kobobel Grant in the same suite. Talk about a night of meeting Famous Authors!
On Sunday morning, I went to a brunch given by Janet and Wendy for their Books and Such authors. What a terrific time!
Saw Kelli Standish, who brought her mother—what a sweet lady! Loved talking with her.
Finally met Ginny Smith face-to-face! I’m so excited about her writing—she’s got tons of books coming out in the next couple years.
Chatted with my blogging buddy Tricia Goyer. She’s always so much fun to be with. I’m a columnist on her WriterQuotes blog—every Monday I post an article on Health and the Writer.
Got a magnificent hug from Gayle Roper. She’s such a wonderful teacher and encourager. If you ever get a chance, take her writer’s Mentoring Clinic.
Saw Sarah Sumpolec and her hubby. They’re totally cute together.
Took a picture with the other members of CAN (Christian Authors Network).
Sunday afternoon, I hung out with my buddy Dream. SO great to see her. The last time I’d seen her was very briefly at RWA last year.
She took me to move from Linda’s room to MaryLu Tyndall’s room at the Hyatt Regency, where I would be staying for the rest of my time in Denver (MaryLu shared her free room with me).
I had plans for the evening, so it was great when Dream hooked up with MaryLu to attend the evening worship session at the Convention Center.

Great review on CONSIDER LILY, I can't wait to read it!
You have such a fresh eyed view, as if it were your first time, and I love that, having never attended a live writer's conference. (I've done a web-based conference before.) Brandilyn gives the experienced, insider's view so it's a great combination.
Are you going to RWA this year? I seem to remember that you might not be.
Which organization gives out the Christy awards? There are actually so many different ones around now both for Christian and non-Christian books that it's getting a little overwhelming. But are the Christy and the RWA still *the* awards for Christian writers?
