Sunday Prayer

Captain’s Log, Stardate 04.23.2006

Leave any prayer requests in the comments and I’ll be praying this week. You don’t have to be Christian to leave a prayer request. If you’d rather not advertise to everyone on the blogosphere, just leave an unspoken prayer request or email me. If I forgot your prayer request, email me. Not to be mean or anything, but if you don't email me or comment to update your prayer request, I'm only going to pray 3 Sundays.

Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of Hosts.

Father, please fix Heather’s computer quickly, cheaply, and completely.

I pray for complete healing for Pammer’s eyes. Give wisdom to her doctor, and peace for her and her family.

Heal Cheryl’s hip. Give wisdom to her and her doctors about surgery.

I pray Dineen’s daughter gets into her program, and I also pray you give Dineen wisdom and divine guidance about the new project she’s been thinking about. Protect her from spiritual warfare and help her to follow only your will.

Be with Gina and help her manuscript to find the right editor for her.

Please convict Paula’s family’s client to pay his overdue bill this week. Provide for her family and continue to wrap her in your grace and peace.

Help Megan this week with her writing, to lift it up to you and find joy in you.

Continue to hold Dream in your hand, and give her your peace.

I pray for completely healing for Angie A. Help her to feel better, and let the tests come back with good news.

Thank you for covering Eileen with your grace. Please continue to help her with everything she needs to do.

Thank you for the affirmation you’ve given Ane with her writing, and continue to open doors for her.

Please help Becky’s fantasy manuscript find the right home, where it will bring you the most glory.

I pray you will fix Winnie’s husband’s truck, and heal her body completely.

Open up more doors for Tina F., more writing opportunities, more ways she can share your light to others.

I lift up Cathy to you, and ask you to lead her out of the emotional darkness she’s been feeling lately. I pray her new critique partner will work out and that you will give wisdom to the two of them, and help her finish her manuscript.

I pray for healing for Sigrun in both body and mind, and healing for her relationship with her family. Give her wisdom about what to do or not do.

Give LaShaunda wisdom in her submissions, and keep your hand over each of them.

I pray Katie’s brother’s surgery went smoothly, and please give him a quick and smooth recovery.

I lift up Narelle—I pray for your hand over their trip, and peace and power to her and her family.

Please heal Diana D.’s ankle wound.

Thank you for taking Zola where he will no longer feel pain.

I pray for continued healing for Rose’s daughter.

Please help Kristine to fight off her attacks, both physical, spiritual and mental. Keep your hand firmly over her, give her your peace, strength, and joy, Lord.

Give open hearts to my friends’ non-believing spouses this week.

Continue to watch over your persecuted church.

Thank you for helping me finish my Bible in 90 Days! I learned so much about you. Thank you for blessing me through this. Please continue to help me heal from my surgery, and give me discipline for my exercise and diet. Help me to be efficient and disciplined in my writing.

You are God Almighty, and we praise you. Amen.

No Cold Bums toilet seat cover

Captain's Log, Stardate 08.22.2008 I actually wrote out my pattern! I was getting a lot of hits on my infamous toilet seat cover , and I wanted to make a new one with “improvements,” so I paid attention and wrote things down as I made the new one. This was originally based off the Potty Mouth toilet cover , but I altered it to fit over the seat instead of the lid. Yarn: any worsted weight yarn, about 120 yards (this is a really tight number, I used exactly 118 yards. My suggestion is to make sure you have about 130 yards.) I suggest using acrylic yarn because you’re going to be washing this often. Needle: I used US 8, but you can use whatever needle size is recommended by the yarn you’re using. Gauge: Not that important. Mine was 4 sts/1 inch in garter stitch. 6 buttons (I used some leftover shell buttons I had in my stash) tapestry needle Crochet hook (optional) Cover: Using a provisional cast on, cast on 12 stitches. Work in garter st until liner measures
