Who’s reading Young Adult novels?

I was on the Girls, God, and the Good Life blog yesterday with a link to a very interesting article and an unofficial poll:

Camy here! I came across this article in Publisher’s Weekly today about a study that showed 55% of YA Books are bought by adults. I thought that was interesting, although not really surprising.

Click here to read the rest of my blog post and join the discussion! What do you think about the results of this study?

  1. I love YA. I taught middle school for several years, and still enjoy reading it.
Do they account for parents/adults buying for teens?

    1. Good point, I didn't think of that. I wonder if they did, or if they only polled reading choices rather than buying choices?

  2. That would be an interesting study. I know the Twilight series, Hunger Games, and now Veronica Roth's series have all had wide appeal for adults as well as YA.

    1. I have to admit, I only read Twilight and the Hunger Games because they were on the bestseller list, but I ended up liking them a lot. I haven't read the Divergent series yet.
