The model on the cover of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 6: Martyr is the same as book 1, my character Phoebe. Her real name is Chelsea, and if you’d like, you can see the original stock photo here . I chose this stock photo because the book is essentially about Phoebe, but this pose is different from book 1, where she’s staring at the camera. I wanted to show a bit of “departure” for Phoebe to reflect some of the events in the book. A lot of things change for her, and she’ll never be the same. I was also really excited when I found the stock photo of Bianca’s notebook for the background. It was exactly how I pictured a leather-bound notebook would look like. I also admit that I kind of got lost down a rabbit-hole when I was searching because there were so many neat leather notebooks! My cover designer found the stock photo of the vial of Jack’s potion. At the moment, I’m working on two books at once—the 7th volume of my Christian Regency romantic suspense Lady Wynwood’s Spies series , and also Sushi and Suspicions , a Christian contemporary romantic suspense which will be releasing in June in the multi-author box set Summer Suspicions. “White Soup” is a short story set in my Christian Contemporary Romance Sushi series. It takes place after the events in Weddings and Wasabi . Originally this short story was in the anthology A Recipe for Romance which is now out of print. But now, "White Soup" is available free if you sign up for my newsletter! What’s up with the white soup? Originally, I heard about white soup from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (FYI, my Sushi series short story is NOT a Regency romance). My Sonoma series started with 3 books starring the 3 Grant sisters in Sonoma. Book 4 starred Nathan, who was a minor character in book 3, and then I wrote Necessary Proof , which stars Jane, who was a minor character in book 2 and a cousin to the Grant sisters. In the next book, Unshakeable Pursuit , I brought in the Whelan family, Jane’s cousins who are also second cousins to the Grant sisters. It was rather confusing to come up with the family tree! The way I have it set up, the Whelan siblings’ mom, Emma Whelan, is sister to Jane Lawton’s mom, Eleanor Lawton. The Grant sisters’ mom and her sister, Aunt Becca, were first cousins to Emma Whelan and Eleanor Lawton. I thought it might be fun for you guys to see my created family tree, so here it is!
