Lady Wynwood's Spies #6 cover character

The model on the cover of Lady Wynwood’s Spies, Volume 6: Martyr is the same as book 1, my character Phoebe. Her real name is Chelsea, and if you’d like, you can see the original stock photo here.

I chose this stock photo because the book is essentially about Phoebe, but this pose is different from book 1, where she’s staring at the camera. I wanted to show a bit of “departure” for Phoebe to reflect some of the events in the book. A lot of things change for her, and she’ll never be the same.

I was also really excited when I found the stock photo of Bianca’s notebook for the background. It was exactly how I pictured a leather-bound notebook would look like. I also admit that I kind of got lost down a rabbit-hole when I was searching because there were so many neat leather notebooks!

My cover designer found the stock photo of the vial of Jack’s potion. She didn’t even have to change the color of the liquid because she found a vial of red liquid, which was perfect.

Both the notebook and the vial play large roles in this volume in relation to Phoebe, so I figured those were good choices for the background images. It was my cover designer who chose the colors of Phoebe’s pink dress and the teal background, and I really love the color combination!
