Today I’m interviewing my friend Debby Giusti!
Debby's debut novel is Nowhere to Hide!
HER HUSBAND WAS MURDERED. NOW SOMEONE'S TRYING TO KIDNAP HER SON.
If she'd arrived a moment later, her husband's killer would have taken her son away forever. Fearful the perpetrator would return, Lydia Sloan fled to an island of refuge off the Georgia coast. As she attempted to unravel the tangle of lies left by her husband, Lydia knew that with the murderer only a step behind, her son was far from safe.
Matt Lawson, the fiercely handsome security guard, seemed to be the only one she could trust with her secret. Yet as danger rose with the evening tide, Lydia was left with nowhere to hide.

How did you come up with the story idea for Nowhere to Hide?
When my family and I moved into our new home, we had to learn to use the security system. Invariably one of us would make a mistake when we plugged in the code. The alarm would go off, and the police would come to our house to ensure we were okay. I realized that would be a great way to start a book. In NOWHERE TO HIDE, my heroine is on the run and enters a relative's home, but doesn't know the code. When she trips the alarm, the security chief answers the call.
If your heroine ordered a dessert for dinner, what would she order and why?
Lydia's definitely a cheesecake type of gal. With strawberries on top, of course.
What's your hero's pet peeve?
Matt Lawson doesn't like clutter. His office is neat and his desk is tidy without even a speck of dust. Of course, he'd hate my office, especially when I'm trying to finish a novel. Everything starts to pile up, waiting to be filed.
LOL! He’d hate my office, too.
If you were an ice cream flavor, what would you be and why?
I'd be butter pecan because it's my favorite. Of course, now I usually stick with low-fat, low-sugar vanilla.
If you could make the world stay one season, what would it be and why?
Summer's my favorite season! I love lots of sunshine, warm temperatures, flowers in bloom, sitting on my deck and watching the sunset, backyard barbeques and going to the beach. Every summer we pile the family into the car and head for the water. I have a big pink inner tube and spend the days floating on the waves, daydreaming up new stories to write throughout the rest of the year.
