Blog book giveaway:
My Thursday book giveaway is THREE WEDDINGS AND A GIGGLE by Liz Curtis Higgs, Carolyn Zane, and Karen Ball.
My Monday book giveaway is CONSIDER LILY by Anne Dayton and May Vanderbilt.
You can still enter both giveaways. Just post a comment on each of those blog posts. On Thursday, I'll draw the winner for THREE WEDDINGS AND A GIGGLE and post the title for another book I'm giving away. Stay tuned.
How cool that I have three distinct things that came to me which all show off Girl Power.
Kick-@$$ chicks: This is a neat article on two real-life, strong Asian women on SFGate.com.
Blogging Chicks: I joined up! The blogroll is on my sidebar.

RealBook.com: Helena Jeffrey posted a wonderful review of my blog! Isn’t that nice of her? I didn’t even have to break out the homemade chocolate truffles as a bribe. You can read the review and comment on it here. And while you’re there, you can check out her reviews of other blogs.
TMI:
Diet: I have horribly failed the past couple days. Well, okay, I guess I shouldn’t be melodramatic. Most of my meals were healthy, with lots of vegetables. But I ate potato chips on Sunday, and on Monday I indulged in some French fries. Yeah, yeah, potatoes are my downfall.
So do any of you guys have a particular food you can’t resist?

Ice cream. I could eat a 5 course meal and be about to burst. But if someone offers me ice cream, I fold.
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed by your willpower though. I do tend to exercise enough - have you tried the 10-minute solution DVDs? I like the Pilates and the Kickboxing ones.

Hello? Homemade chocolate truffles? Tell me you'll be carrying some of those at conference.
ReplyDeleteCamy, I love potatoes, too. Had potato salad on Sunday, but that was the first time in two years!! Hang in there. You're doing great over all. Sometimes we all slip for just a minute.
ReplyDeleteOh, the food I can't resist, and I know this is so typical of us gals, but its the honest truth with me. If it has chocolate in it it's mine, especially the combined efforts of chocolate and peanut butter. I've gotten better about taking in smaller amounts and not overdosing on it. And I'll admit one other food, I love any kind of homemade bread, white that is. Total carb overload there.
ReplyDeleteI start working out my Dh's temp worker next week. This should help me out greatly, I have a partner so I"m not bored, and it's free!
Camy, thank you for all the kind and sweet comments you leave on my blog. I can't tell you how much it means that you take time from your busy day to not only visit, but to leave a comment. I look forward to coming to your blog during the summer while we hit wifi signals on vacation. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAny type of desert in the house is my downfall. I was doing so good on my diet until I made dad cookies for father's day. I am my own worst enemy. Today is a new day. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, we're blogging chick sisters!
ReplyDeleteSorry 'bout your diet. Wish I could find a diet that let me eat potato chips. But I can't complain, I've lost 2.5 pounds on my new diet so far. I lost 7.5 on the "other" diet for a total of 10 pounds! Woo-hoo!
Potatoes are a gift from God. My other downfall is Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. I also love French vanilla ice cream topped with Mrs. Richardson's Butterscotch Caramel Fudge. Oh, the list goes on....
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! Peanut butter anything. Then there's my homemade chocolate chip cookies, and the delicious pound cake I made last Sunday, dry breakfast cereal, potato chips, oatmeal raisin cookies, ...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! Peanut butter, in just about any form. Then there's my homemade chocolate chip cookies; the pound cake I made last Sunday; dry breakfast cereal, especially Fruit Loops; potato chips, any brand, any flavor; oatmeal raisin cookies, ...
ReplyDeleteDon't feel badly Camy! As you can probably guess, I'm not doing too well in the eating dept either. I do really well during the day but the night time grazing is killing me!
Oops! Sorry for the duplicate response. Got an error on the first one so I didn't think it took.
